Well, I finally have her, after nearly 7 years.......... or, that could be 8................ on her own 4 wheels...... Was tinkering in the garage and just had to do it. I'm waiting for one push-rod for a front wheel cylinder, but other than that,,, the front brake assembly is done......... Previous restoration thread here on Moparts

As much as I love a fade, and think it would be suprememly cool, I've got a sneaking suspicion that car's getting a vinyl top. Looking at it, the drip rails are done body color, which was part of what did it for me, but the telltale for me was that you're waiting for a wheel cylinder pushrod for the FRONT. If your sticking with drums up front on a 68 HEMI Charger, I'm guessing this is a restoration as opposed to a restification. BTW, looks AWESOME!

Actually, it is a vinyl top car. MaMopar painted the underside of the drip rail channel where the stainless window seal channel screws to. As far as a restoration versus restification, that's first.
My intentions were always to restore her as close as I could get with my money in my back pocket and my knowledge. The "at liberty" I was going to take was a white vinyl top as opposed to a black one it originally came with. With original white interior, it's almost a sin to put a black top on such a color combination.
Yeap, I've located a push rod from a friend as of today and all the new brake hardware can be installed and ready to go. I do plan on keeping her with her original front drum setup.

Been working on the heater box today... Made some progress.. Here's the front with the stamp I had made that duplicates the original part number.. Think it came out pretty good......... I'm waiting on the back fan impeler to dry and then I'll have the back together and finished...
PS: Anyone know of a source for the rubber hose between the heater core body and the fan blower motor? Mine could use replacement. It's usable, but would prefer a better one....

RT specialties has the hose I think. Looking good! Did you restamp your HB cover, or is it original? If so, where did you get the stamp?
Nope, I did it myself.. I repainted the front cover and had a stamp made her locally. All of $15. The added detail has a much greater impact.

CONGRATS on the Daytona, its beautiful! I wish you could have kept the Hemi car though since I have so much trouble seeing any of them go. Did you sell the 500 as well? Again congrats and enjoy that Daytona you deserve it.
