I have this extra K frame which I believe came form a 72 or 73 Ralley Cuda. It has 2 brackets which I have not seen on any of my other cars

Any ideas?

Any chance it's out of a 73/74 B-body?

I am fairly sure. I believe the 73-74 Bbody have the long arms down the side and the K looks different

Kamstra_Kuda - That definitely came off of a `cuda. We just pulled a motor out of an original 73 `cuda and the k-frame was the same as the one you have pictured. We also could not figure out what they are on there for. Don't try and use it with a small block and headers, the drivers side bracket will hit the header. We ended up cutting it off.

My '74 fit fine with cheapo headers. I have no clue why they are there..they are on all '72-'74 cars. Maybe soemthing to do with handling the Kframe/powertrain assemblies on the assembly line.

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.

My 73 Challenger doesn't have them but my 74 Cuda does.

Never could figure what they were for.

73-4B's have the shock towers on the k-frame.

WAG It looks like it might have been used to route the power steering hose. Is it out of a power steering equiped car? I've never seen that bracket before.

My 74 Cuda has manual steering and those brackets. My 73 Challenger has power steering and no brackets.

I'm wondering if they were some sort of attempt to limit the engine movement that breaks the motor mounts.
