Wanting to rebuild a 69-727 and need to know what best complete rebuild kit to use on my 727. Best kit that has the best bands, etc., in it.

Also, what are the easiest and cheapest performance upgrades?

This is for an 440-6 pack A12 that is an all stock motor.

Thanks

www.transtar1.com

I just used them for a 727 I just built , even got the TF2 kit there as well, although they were a bit pricier on the TF2 kit versus summit or mancinis, jegs etc , but I saved on shipping

I bought the Mancini kit (which was just the Mopar kit with the Mancini sticker right over the Mopar sticker) and it works great so far behind a hot small block. Had Raybestos plates inside (not blue)Do yourself a favor and replace all (especially the reverse one)the servo's with billet ones. I bought them direct from Sonnax Best price and a really quality product

i have used several transtar kits from northern autoparts...727...42rh, 46rh and 46re and 904.

it seems to be the most completed kit with front band...bushing..washers that others charge extra for...

Since I have a 69 trans, should I upgrade to the later part throttle kick down valve body?

Contact John I believe his name is at CRT,advertised on here. I think he has a stock build kit for $75 and HP for around twice that.
If not him,I would suggest the T2 kit.But from what I hear, the T2 kit has questionable parts from 70 and earlier I think and 71 and up. Sealing rings are one thing I remember. I would check into CRT,maybe he'll do something for Moparts members, dont know. WILDBILL should be chiming in anytime to comment. He runs a 10-11 sec. 71 Charger and swears by him and his parts.Talked to him a few times, seems like a straight up dude!Offered to help me build mine one of these weekends using a CRT kit.
