My 29x10 15 Hoosiers just won't bite any more. It seems the sidewalls look too wrinkled so I think they're toast. The 60' has gone all to hell!
If I stay with the Hoosiers, would a QTP 29x11.50 give me enough bite, or should I stick with a drag tire?
These tires only have about 80 passes on them. Sure seems that they went away quick to me.
The car is a 71 Challenger 496, 3700# race weight.

I don't think the 325/50's will fit in my wheel opening without rubbing.
The 295/65's would be close.I could always put the front spring eye on the bottom hole for a bit more.

I'd go with a M/T either drag slick or ET tire..both work extremely well and last ALOT longer than hoosiers.

I use the Hoosier QTP's 29 x 11.5 and they hook great for me. And I have been driving on them for almost 2 years. Ron

I take it those are the 17700's .
I'd really like to try them , but price is what's holding me back.
They want $350 each CND for those tires . I can buy 295/65 R15 M/T ET street radials up here for $245 each. The M/T's are a 30" tire and that's gonna get close to my wheel well lips for sure.
My last set of Hoosiers 29x10's sure went south in a hurry. My last set of M/T bias slicks lasted me 2 seasons.....the Hoosiers lasted 1 .

AMEN!!!

I put 295/65R15 ET street M/T's on Friday morning...went to the track and ripped off the best time BY FAR this Pink Turd has ever done!!!!
It's a short track...but a 4.478 330 time is the quickest it's ever gone. 15.5 lbs pressure...a little light as to what most of you guys say...but that's where it hooked. 17 was WAY too much!!
Thank's for the advice!
