I am trying to find the bolt tightening sequence and torque specs for the intake manifold for a 1972 Dodge Dart Slant 6 225. I have been on online since 9:30 this morning trying to find it!! Can someone PLEASE help me???

people have their opinions, but for me, the Haynes manual has about everything you could need - has a diplomat on the cover for all 71-89 RWD mopars, and may not go into specific detail on the muscle cars, but the technical info is great

"Tighten the manifold-to-head nuts. Start at the center and work outward to snug, then go back and torque the three intake-to-exhaust bolts to 22 foot pounds. Now go back and torque the head fasteners to 10-12 foot pounds of torque, again from the center outward."

Just follow the instructions and take it slowly. The important thing is not to over-torque, since the manifolds need to be able to "slide" on the manifold mounting surfaces when they expand and contract because of temperature changes.

yep, there are torque specs for everything - one section on 6 cylinders, one on SBs, and one on BBs...i think i bought mine at an Arnold's Motor 5 years ago for $15, which at the time being a high school student thought was ridiculous, but it has saved me time and searching for info many times
