OK. Here's the specs: 4 inch eagle cast crank, scat I-beam rods with 7/16 capscrews, KB forged flattops, zero decked, and internally balanced...(those scat rods only weigh 572 grams, and cost $258) The compression figures right at 12.7 to 1. The cam is a solid with 256/260 @ .050, with .616/.626 lift with the 1.6 crane rollers. The heads flow 280cfm (after some home port work), and the intake is an M1 single plane. The carb is a 1000 cfm holley 4150, and I have a Wilson one inch spacer.
The carb sounds big, but it was worth a solid 2 tenths over the 750 proform with much better throttle response. The carb took me from 12.40s to 12.20s, and the E85 took me right to 12.0s. The major increase was torque. My sixty foot time went from 1.74 to 1.66, and I had to shift at 6200 instead of 6400 like I did on the 91 octane. It is surprisingly streetable with 3.91 gears and a PTC 4000rpm stall converter in the 904 trans.
E85 took my mileage from 15 to about 12, but that was with about 10 to 1 compression, so we will see if the higher compression really helps with the fuel economy...it liked 10 less jets on the dyno than before... 90 with a power valve in front, and 99 in the rear (before it was 99/110). I do have E85 metering blocks, as the holley passages only flow about the size of a 94 jet...the jet extensions had to be drilled out as well. In fact, it ran the same without a jet in the rear extensions as it did with the 110s.
Keep in mind I race at 4880 ft elevation, so the NHRA corrected number for a 12.0 is 11.27, and I hope to be running 11.50s this year. I will find out in two weeks at our first heads up race of the season. I plan to run the 11.60 index class, so I should at least be competitive hopefully!

I am hoping mine makes 400. Its a 11:1 .040 over 360 with KB Hypers in it with .039 quench. Out of the box eddies with appropriate springs. Cam is Intake 318 Exhaust 325 Intake Lift .618 Exhaust .642(can't find duration at .050 right now). Victor 340 Manifold and a 700 Holley with proform body. Hope it runs good, car is heavy 3500lbs with 3.91 gears and a TA 8" 4500 converter.

I had a stock crank .04 overbored 360 in the Demon that went 10.25 at 129.99 mph. Ported 587 heads,.590 racer brown flat tappet cam, victor 340 intake, crane gold 1.6 rockers, 11.75 to 1 comp ratio. Motor in car now is a .04 over 360/ w a 4.100 stroke crank, [418 c.1.]. Still has the racer brown .590 cam and ported 587 heads, a little adtnl. work to heads, flat top piston out of the hole .080, 13 to 1 comp ratio, Victor 340 intake, Crane 1.6 rockers. Burns 110 octane race gas or would be fully streetable. Never over 190 degrees even when it's near 100 deg. outside. Has gone as fast as 9.68 at 135 mph and as far as 450 ft on the rear wheels. Definetly over 400 to 500 horse . Not to shabby for a junkyard headed small block in a car that weighs 3060lbs. I never recall seeing a brand X sm block w/ junkyard heads anywhere near my e.t. at or near 3060lbs. I chase alcohol burning, roller cammed, aluminum headed sm block chevys all the time.

This ones kinda right in between your 400 to 500hp mark. 360ci .30 over bore, ported heads to flow 265cfm up from .500 lift with 2.02 & 1.60 valves, Eddy Air Gap, 750 holley carb, Mopar purple cam 292, 9.5 to 1 compression, MP ignition, TTI headers, MP windage tray. I found a few 360 engine builds and this one apparently makes 450+ HP all day long and is dyno proven. I'm folling it for my build but adding some other stuff in there.
