The "Brothers" F8 hemi Challenger was purchased by them or their reps at a Mecum auction, might have been 8 or 9 years ago. is there another F8 one?

2010 was in the middle of the Great Recession.

I'm sure those brothers can sell that F8 car for at least 1.5M to double their investment.

I bet these sellers would take $1.2M. I wouldn't think it would take more than $100k to fully rotisserie restore this car given its good bones, rebuilt engine, and decent interior that can be re-used.

Then again, what else can you buy for $1.3M? A new McClaren Senna I think, which will probably double in price in 5 years. Ditto maybe a couple of Ford GTs.

Thought i'd chime in and say hello. The car for sale is my Dad's hemi convertible. He has owned her since 1979. Today while going through our shop attic my dad found the original broadcast sheet in a box with some other items from back in the day including the broadcast sheet for the hardtop. We couldn't believe it. He didn't even know he had it. Remember this is from finding it 40 years ago. So here it is. Undisputable proof of the car! Also wanted to show you guys a pic of why he painted it plum crazy 40 years ago. This is his hemi hardtop he bought new. Special ordered it in 69 with like every option you could get. We still have it in our possession. Hope this clears up some doubts.

The build sheet immensely helps the car. up

It's so awesome that you have found it after it was packed away all those years ago.

It shows how the car was originally optioned and built when new.

Very cool challenger that seems legit to me. If you want one here it is! Buy it & drive the hell out of it. Life is too short!! Why bother restoring it again just to sit looking mint? And then all that work to go to a show so people can see it as it was when new. Whoopie do! People will alway point [censored] out with their little pinky to piss you off. As it sits you can enjoy it with a smile on your face & be one of the lucky hemi ragtop owners! Thants just my 2c on this whole thing.

Most would agree that having the build sheet adds 10% to the value of the car so finding that.., wow. Congrats.

I think it might be a little more than 10% for a car at this level.

Buildsheet is worth more than the original engine IMHO.

Put that thing in a safety deposit box! I'd say that adds $500,000 to the car as legitimate proof! Maybe have a small piece of it carbon dated.

The hard top reminds me of my 1971 Challenger with all those options. My Challenger has an entirely different paint scheme on it since the early 70s. The Purple is still under the Blue and White it was painted from back then. I don't think people thought the Convertible was not real but I could be wrong. Likely people think the price is not what they would pay and the price is set by the seller, either you like it or you don't buy. A lot of these cars have seen a harder life than most, being Hemis you always seem that you had to defend the Pentastar in the old days so a lot of these cars did what they were sold to do so things get hurt or changes a lot and painting a car a different color is just an owners preference.

Build sheet is a BIG DEAL especially when you want big $$$ for a car. Or what the market bares. Not a 10% deal .lol

So the question now is it still $1,250,000?
