I have a 72 disc brake setup to convert my 65 C body from manual drums.
Went to move those things around today, wow is that stuff heavy.

Are there any sources for slotted rotors and maybe aluminum calipers?

Searched around the web for a while, didn't find anything.

I'd like to free up some weight for drag racing, but thought this group may be a good source.

Sure, no problem. Just costs money.

Thanks Andy, I was hoping there might be some OEM style stuff that would be a little lighter.
Nice brakes BTW!

Rock auto has slotted and drilled 11.75 rotors, look up 78 Cordoba.

As for aluminum calipers, nothing that is a direct, bolt in replacement. Several options to put other stuff on, like Andy showed you, but no "stock caliper but in aluminum" type options.

Well Viper calipers are OEM style and they are lighter. I have brackets that bolt a Viper caliper to a '73 C body knuckle. I also have a couple sets of the '73 C body knuckles on hand. I used to make a C body big brake kit but sales were slow so I killed it off.

I can't find the part # on your website.
I found a tech article you posted to do a B body. Do you have a parts list compiled for the kit using the Viper calipers?

I don't sell brake kits anymore but I still have some spare parts sitting on the shelf. Contact Doctor Diff if you want a big brake kit. A C body kit would be a semi-custom job so extra time and money is required.

Here is what the C body kit that I used to sell looked like.

Cordoba rotor won't work for a C-body. C-body rotors are 1.25" thick, B-bodies are 1".

I would look elsewhere for weight savings. The less rotor mass you have the less heat handling capacity you will have which means less repeated brake application capacity.

Unless he has late 72 spindles that take the bigger wheel bearings, the D100 rotors won't work.

I think Dr Diff sells spacer sleeves that will convert the early 72 and back spindle to big bearings so you can use the 73 up rotor.

It is also my understanding that they are now producing the 69-72 rotor in unicast so they are much less $$$ than the 2 piece rotors were but I haven't actually had one in my hands to confirm the bearing sizes.

anyone know the hub diameter? have a set of spindles. plus where are you finding 11-3/4 rotors? Have a set of pin caliper brackets. need a set of slide caliper brackets for big rotors.
