Parting out a '66 Plymouth Belvedere and came across these brackets attached to the rear frame rails near the spring perch boxes. They seem like a factory part, especially the bolts that secure them. Were these trailer hitch brackets? Anchor points for towing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! beer

They are the stock rear tie downs used for transporting them to the dealers scope

Okay thanks.

So do the purist put these back on when doing a full resto? Or are they throw away parts?

Thanks again for your help. beer

Dealer was supposed to remove them in prep.

I know that we never did at 63436.

It takes gasoline to interest me.
