I have a buddy with a 70 Charger that wants to drop a late-model 392 Hemi into it along with a 5 speed (with no tunnel removal). He'd like to keep the original K-member.

Have any of the magazines documented a similar conversion? He'd like to learn from others that have traveled this road before.

Thanks!

Take a look in the Projects and Survivors section. I though there was someone doing this. I don't think he is going to get away without cutting the tunnel. Unless you do the Passon 5 speed transmission. For the k-frame, I think someone came out with new oil pan. But in general, I think the k-frame needs to be swapped or cut up. He could buy another, cut it up and retain the original.
