may be silly but will my motor mounts from my old 340 work with a 360 going into my 70 duster?

pretty sure it is 318 and 340 are the same.
360 is different on only one.
and you can use spacers to make up for the difference if you want, or get the correct one.

The passenger side mount is the same for all small blocks. 360 mount ears on the driver's side are spaced further apart. As Andrew said you can simply space it out with a pack of washers if you wanted to reuse your existing mounts.

273/318 same both sides

340/360 same both sides.

273/318 moutn wider than 340/360 mount on one side.

So yes, the 340 mounts will just fit the 360 no problem.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.
