Is the dash pad supposed to be removed in order to remove and re-install the gauge cluster on a 71 Cuda with the rally dash? I removed it with out taking the dash pad off, but I think the emergency brake light tube broke while I was trying to figure out how the woodgrain bezel came out. I think it would be a lot easier with the dash pad off, but is it necessary? I removed the radio, ash tray, lower dash pads, and lowered the column. Thanks in advance
