I just bought a 67 GTX that was in New York for many years. Color is Yellow with a black vinyl top,440 auto with console. Since I bought it from a dealer,I didn't get much info on history, other than who the previous owner was. It was owned by Tim White of N.Syracuse,NY. The car was shown a number of times over the years at Carlisle Mopar shows. I am reaching out the the folks on this forum for anyone that knew Tim and this car. It has had some engine and trans mods. I was told the engine was recently rebuilt but no paperwork to confirm that is true, I'd like to know more details on what was done to motor and trans. The car is a survivor, but RF fender is damaged. Sure would appreciate any know history of the car.

You might try to contact someone in this club.
There are lots of longtime members who may provide some help.
I would not doubt the late Dave Johnson from Salina Speed Shop in Syracuse may have done work on the car in its day.

Is it possible to contact the people at Carlisle Productions to see if they maintain a history of show participants or by vehicle type. Maybe they have a list by V.I.N.?

Doin' that MOPAR parts thing for 38 years

I owned a 67 GTX of that description when I was in SoCal in the '80s.
Original everything and in pretty good shape but the paint & engine compartment were showing their age a bit.
Sold it to a guy in New York, who I think wanted to paint it black, but I don't know if he did or what happened to the car.
Unfortunately I don't recall much else about the car or the buyer.

This one originally was bought in Jersey in the 70's. Spent rest of the time in NY. Thanx for sharing!

Thanx for the info. According the at the club president,Tim White hadn't been a member. But he's asking this club members if they knew him. He occasionally drag raced the GTX at a local strip.
