Our 68 Charger is going to have a supercharged gen 3 ( Think Hellcat power and torque) and will be bolted to a turbo 400 trans.

The tire will be either 29 or 30" tall, have not decided yet.

What rear gear would be a good compromise for drag use and street friendliness?

Thanks for any advice.

No overdrive? 3.55 would be the deepest I'd want, but we can't get anywhere here in Texas unless you're doing 70+mph

I think Dr Diff is coming out with a 3.23 for a Dana. Another option.

I have a th400 in my trans am with 3.42 gears... can't say it's that enjoyable to drive, but only 26" tires. I would go 3.54 with those tall tires. With the power you'll have, it will move just fine.

I'm having a batch of 3.23 Dana 60 gears produced. They should be in stock in about a month.

Cass was excellent to deal with. I just got my Dana from him.
Highly recommended.

Got a very good price on an ATI th400 with the supercase, converter, etc. All for the gen III hemi.

if you make 650 TQ it will be no fun on the street with 3.92s, that is a MOUNTAIN of TQ at the tires. I would go 3.23 with no OD.
