I have a 1st gen hemi crank with a thrust journal that is worn and too wide. Otherwise its a good crank. I'm nor sure if they're forged or cast bet either way am wondering if there's a repair method.

Whether it cast or forged, weld it up and machine it is all you can do other than replacing it.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Its a forged crank, and as said it gets welded and machined to repair.

ALL GI and GII Hemi cranks and rods are forged. Mopar didn't start using cast cranks anywhere until about 1967, on the LAs. And they've never used a cast rod AFAIK.

It's as simple as welding it up and grinding to size. Not terribly easy because crank grinders aren't meant to grind sideways. But it's done all the time.
