Are the steering column shafts the same length between a power and manual, if the sheer pin is removed?

I ask because the threads on my manual floor shift column were stripped and I have a nice power steering column that I could use for parts.

I know on 69 B bodies that the steering shaft has multiple positions for the plastic sheer pin to go into once its been removed (or melted!). Just curious before I take the column apart.

There is a 1-2" difference between the two because of the power box being longer.
