Has anyone ever installed the heater control decals that Performance Car Graphics used to sell? I found a set and the instructions are pretty vague. So I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks. It says to get the face of the knob wet to be able to move the decal and that's about it. Does the original TEMP and FAN paint have to be sanded off? Does the knob get clear coated after? Any suggestions?

I used them.... they pretty good. I can post a pic later. I just cleaned the face and applied...

Me too......clean very well and apply.

Did you guys sand the face to remove the bumps from the original stamping or just apply over them?

Also did you use water to slide the decal or just line it up and hope for the best?

No sanding or use of water here.

Same here. Clean he knobs well and carefully center the decals so you cant see the seams. This is a set I did last year.
