I have a 8 3/4 rear under a 78 Dodge D150, short bed, step side, regular 15" rim will be used. It currently has drum set-up on it and I would like to use a disc conversion. What disc conversion product would you recommend? Is there one that is better than the other? Thanks in advance.

There are kits on ebay for $350 on up depending on your budget. One thing to look at is your axel bearings if you can use adjustable or nonadjustable with the kit.

Thank you for the help. I currently have stock bearing in it now and I don't think I want the entry level disc set-up. Photo of rear to get a little more idea. Very open to more thoughts.

Mopar Action and Ehrenberg just ran an article about doing 8 3/4 disc brake conversion on the cheap using Jeep Liberty parts.

Looks like a race truck. Why not just use a Wilwood kit or similar?

I didn't realize how many kits were out there as well as options for them. Has anybody on here personally have these on their car/truck that has any pro's or cons on any kit they use?

up Thank you every body for the much need help and advise.

I used a Wildwood kit on my Duster and later on the Scamp. Never a problem in over 20 years with it.
