So if putting a 6.4 cam into an eagle 5.7 eagle and the customer wants it locked down what degree should a guy set the intake center line to for best results?

Also has anyone come up with the cam specs for a 6.4 BGE engine yet? I cant find them anywhere...

Sorry the question is about putting a 6.4 SRT cam into a 5.7.

I am just curious what the specs are on the BGE cam.

I have post around here somewhere where I listed the Eagle cam as .519/490 that actually is for the BGE 6.4 the Eagle is the same as the pre Eagle
.472/.460. I forget what the LSA is and Duration for both cams.
I know that's not much help, I'll look back at my notes tonight when I get home, but I think I backed off 4 degrees from straight up when I 1st did my SRT cam in my old 5.7 Eagle.

I put a 6.4 SRT cam in a 3/4 4x4 5.7 with a big tool box on it and you could barely tell a little TQ was missing down low but the top end had a whole new attitude. Instead of barely running out of breath right at the shift it was now pulling hard at a WOT shift. That was with no tuning. Now knowing about the BGE cam if I did it all over again I would probably use the BGE cam in a very heavy truck and the SRT cam in anything else. With proper tuning I still might run the SRT cam in a heavy one.

good to know - I'm learning from all you guys as I try to map out whether I'm going to replace the turbo 383 in my 70 Fury with a 5.7 eagle/nag1 turbo and whether I want to build a 5.7 based turbo engine for my 69 coronet vs the 400 based engine I'd been planning. Sounds like for either of those the SRT cam would be ok, plenty of gears and rear gear in the Fury and the race car of course wants the bigger cam.
