Lookin at 2016 SRT 392 thats for sale. 21000 miles from a wreck. My question is. Is this a good GEN 3 to start with for a retro fit. What retrofit harness would be needed. like to run EFI with stand alone automatic trans. What engine mods recommended without forced induction. Cams intakes ect ect.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing. HOTWIRE auto should be able to handle the EFI end of it. Are you thinking about using a 46rh or a factory transmission for that car

Extreme Automatics will be doing a 200 4r for my BB stroker build. So I will talk to them about a trans. I will look at Hot Wire and check out their harness. New to the GEN 3 stuff. Just kinda of threw this out there. I been reading some of these post. To kinda get direction to start. Thanks

With headers, decent exhaust and non emissions concerned tuning it will easily be over 500 HP without removing the valve covers, how much you looking to make?

As for the trans, their tranny to work with 500HP is $2200 plus the stuff to adapt it but a 545RFE bolts up and can be had for a few hundred bucks, even some mods to handle more power are not much, kinda wondering why the bother of the 2004r? Heck an A-500 is a bolt up and cheaper to handle a lot of power... mine is holding up fine with 550lbs TQ and can be duplicated for a lot less than those trannys.

If I do a GEN 3. I will check out the trans you suggested. As for the 2004r. That's for my BB stroker. The reason for using that trans. It's small and fits easily in about anything. I can just basically change out bells flexplates and converters. I can use it with any engine I want. Yeah it is a little pricey. But 1 trans that I can use on a small or BB. Thanks for the suggestion.

I like using megasquirt ms3 gold boxes and their harness. Cost around 1300 and fully tune able with a laptop.
