Bull...what?

Glad to see it.

I wonder about...a million things that can't be answered here.

Really hope that works out, we need 'em.

The World/MP block was sanctioning body accepted long ago (even though it looks very dissimilar to a stock block) but the more alternatives, the better.

I wish them luck! If they're good, no reason to not get one.

a couple of months ago I rang/emailed all 3 of the block suppliers . They all seemed to imply they were the originator / provider . But at that time they all said "no current stock but put a deposit down and should get one

They do all seem to be the same block .
As I am on the other side of the world prudence said hold on to my money . I would happily have bought one off the shelf . Lucky I found a new World block .

Looks like a phone number in Indiana. The engine shop at PRI that had the block on display said they were being hired to do some final machining on the blocks and had done a few of them in the past few months. They are located in Muncie, Indiana, so it would make sense that home base for the block operation is not too far away.

Only as the result of other people's experiences, anything that has Dick Bradshaw (Bulldog) involved with it makes me nervous.

He was supposed to have been the master pattern maker at Indy before he left to start his own business. Yet his own BBM heads suffered from thin spots in the castings that ended up leaking when ported, etc. Their time on the market was pretty short lived.

And, although I haven't followed the rest of Bulldog's history, I believe there was also a debacle involving Buick blocks before he started working with Muscle Motors on "The Block" project. If he's still "The Block" person working with the guy at Chicago Connection, I hope for the CC guy that things have changed for the better.

I am asking this question because I am thinking about buying a car with a bulldog block with around 800 hp. I am wanting to know if the blocks are holding up to that power, and is there any problems with the blocks.

Some stock 440 blocks (with good main cap, not stock caps and bolts tsk ) will hold up to that, most won't tsk
The 400 block with the thicker main webs will do that better but no guaranty on either shruggy
Buying a good race block is the best way to start off any race build up

The only one I know of is member markz528 built a 505 out of one.

Had a few machining errors that needed correcting.

I don’t know of any that have serious high power track time on them.

There's a few Buick guys that would love to meet up with him in a dark alley. A lot of people lost a lot of money. A Buick engine builder told me he tried for a long time to buy the molds after it went belly up but he would not sell.
