Several years ago, Mopar Action published a how-to article on rebuilding the 727 floor shifter. They mentioned a rebuild kit, but I don't have that edition anymore, and internet searches have proved fruitless (internet searches bring up rebuild trans, rebuild MT shifters, or install aftermarket shifters). Anybody have a direction I can go in to find this rebuild kit? I would rather rebuild the shifter then spend $200 plus for a rebuilt unit. While writing this a point came to mind- are the shifters even rebuildable? Does the metal get to a point where it is worn, and no rebuild kit will fix that?
