Really maintenance would not be bad on this at all.
Shift at 8500 I am not sure how many passes it would go before it might need springs.

Has 65 pulls on the dyno between 8500 and 9000 rpm.

Springs still check fine.

Rocker ratio only 1.8 intake exhaust 1.75

60mm cam and Jesel keyway lifters are solid parts and should give good service life.

Awesome build Brett as usual. How did you come up with the extinct r3 block?

I was on the Edelbrock stand, it was today or yesterday. One of the Edelbrock guys was showing Herb McCandless around, made a point of showing Herb Brett's ported head. Really talked up the good results and Brett's hard work, and what might happen in the future. Just thought I'd mention it

That's cool to hear.

Did you get to check head out ?

Did you get to see the engine ?

Sorry we did not catch up.

Brett, do you and the Hartzmans have a plan to modify and market these heads in quantity?

There were a few guys I missed,I'll be back at some point.

I went by and checked out your handy work on a few occasions over the three days of the show. I will be telling a good friend about what you're achieving, he's got a few Victor headed engines almost finished. Hopefully I'll convince him to run something with a decent port on his next customers build.

Lenny Knott the CNC machine owner that is cutting the heads has 8 sets on order RAW castings.

This will help us make the changes we want to with out having to fix/re-do what was machined.

The heads will have HIP process done on them also.

When they are ready to go I am sure we will do a group buy or something to get them out into the market.

I see your header tubes are in firing order sequence. People are always arguing if it is worth it. I've always believed it helps. Have you noticed much power differences with header primaries that aren't in firing order?
