And meh. Wasn’t too impressed with them. Comparing them damn near side by side with the ProMaxx Shockers they almost seemed identical. The Trick Flow heads are going to be released in March with the same price point as the ProMaxx. Also being released from Trick Flow is a new SB intake manifold. I went to PRI to give them a good look and also got the flow info and assembled valve sizes, etc.

Now the thing that really got me going were the new FST carbs and the electronic jet kit they’re about to offer. Basically turns the carb into a fuel injection/carb hybrid. Can adjust the jetting on your carb with a Bluetooth device and can go up and down 10 jet sizes.

There is only so much that can be done within the "stockish" architechture especialy considering the boneheaded crowd that us moparowners are that complain if the part is not 100% compatible with stuck junk everwhere.

I agree. I would have at least like to have seen an attempt dual exhaust manifold mounting since the exhaust port is more of a D shape like the Indy’s. In all honesty it’s beginning to look like everyone is getting the same heads cut on the same machine and stamping their own name on the heads.

I'm more interested in the intake manifold than those heads.

Agreed. The TFs are much improved over the Edelbrock and all of the China Edelbrock knock off castings, especially the chamber.

I saw the SB TF heads and talked to their rep at the PRI show... He said they will be released approximately in May 2019 as there have been casting problems getting fixed. The exhaust ports were square and small ... instead of the more common factory design... puzzles me for exhaust gasket sealing.

I keep seeing foundry issues. Is this effecting other TF products?

all the Trick Flow products we have purchased have been very well finished- no issues at all.
My guess is what your seeing is the reason that haven't been released yet.

just my thoughts.

I was at PRI also and the tech told me they had casting's in from the foundry and are going to cut them up and check for casting problems before they give the foundry the go ahead for production, said they had made a few minor changes along the way, I thought they were a very nice looking head. up

SD and M1 are essentially the same.
