Ok so i was going a bit faster & had to upgrade to a chute so i could stop in time. Now that im feeling that blooming chute jolt, my vac pump catch can is now filling up & spewing oil out of the puke can breather. Its kinda making things around it look a bit messy so what do you chute pullers do to prevent the puke. My vac pump pulls from my rocker covers from the front, this wasnt much of an issue when i was just stomping on a pedal, but now that im letting the laundry loose we've created a nightmare. Ideas to fix please.

Put a solid baffle in front of the open end of the fitting in the valve overs so it won't suck the oil into the pump or move the fitting where it can only suck air into the pump

Well i have baffles at the outlet of the covers already & i dont really want to drill more holes in the covers than i need to

Are you pulling the chute while in the throttle or off throttle?

Off. My chute takes about 3 seconds to become fully bloomed & then its like youve reached the end of the bungy, it pulls up really fast.

Aren't you meant to drive into the chute ?

i had the same prob,moved my line to the rear of the rocker cover and solved the prob.

Stroud chutes open nice and soft and you can pack them drunk and they still work great--best out there

I tried multiple locations, only one that worked right ..

Middle of valve cover , towards the rear of it , right above the rail

It would pull maybe a tea spoon a pass 10hg on the gauge with 2 shims taken out

Sounds like way too much oil to the top end !!

Splitting the line with a tee and going into both covers helps, but it sounds like you need some drain back lines back to the pan on your heads.

possibly. it's an Indymaxx block & they dont have huge holes for oil to return from the valley. I have opened them up & contoured the openings to improve drainage. Before we ran a chute we would see maybe 10-15cc's of oil in the puke can breather. So i can't change the block anymore than i have & we don't have a lack of oil problem at the pick up, so i'm looking into an air/oil seperator to fit before the pump. anyone got one of them?

I once did an engine for a guy who had someone else build it before he sent it to me. It had dripping oil out of the headers! I discovered it didn't have an orifice in the supply lines. Pumping way too much oil up top!

Being -1heads i have restrictors on both sides @ I'm using -3 lines for the feed. I think i got this one.

Ok so i didnt really get a definative answer so i went n bought a Moroso air/oil seperator. Be interesting to see if it works. Only problem, no racing til new years at the local track
