New here so I am uncertain how to upload photos. I have a complete list of items I purchased and installed into my Cuda, which I've owned since I was 12 for 36yrs. The job is done and wow is she fast and wonderful. A small breakdown below:

- new crate 392 and harness from Chrysler. Best warranty and I used a buddies employee discount. Some mods need done to make it go in good.
- changed the thermostat to a 180f and programmed the CPU to kick the fans on at 190f. For me running at 225f was too hot but that's how they are from the factory
- new silver sport four speed a41. Not a perfect fit but manageable.
- new drive line works 489 w/3:55 auburn
- graveyard like radiator, bouchlen hoses. You will need an after market tranny cooler
- Wilwood four disc brakes. I don't like em enough said
- hydroboost master system as the motor wasn't cutting it for vacuum
- all new wiring from year one. Tired of the random things working or not
- all new tti exhaust. Right hand side there is a bolt clearance issue on the second cylinder in. Have to use the dp starter from power sports

So much to type and list but the conversion was fun, frustrating, but worth the blood, time and money. I now can cruse at. 70 mph and tag out at 2900. All with 17.5mpg on avg. my 340 sucked it down to 9mpg and 4500 rpm at 70. Gesh.

Welcome to MoParts! Your build sounds awesome, can't wait to see some photos. How is it for power?

On the motor there are two tabs for the original oil pan that have to go bye bye. He interfere with the headers. Rear two tabs

I used the mildon 31000 center oil pan and pick up

Buy lokar flexible dip sticks for oil and tranny it will save your kids ears from the fowl language while trying to get hard pipes to fit

If your heater core is old like mine was, original. The new motor temps, glow and pressure blew mine. Replace it while motor is in transition

My alignment went haywire with the extra weight had to realign.

Fenders shake now so I'm adding the us car tool stiffening package.

Installed a new stage 3 firm feel power steering gearbox while everything was out. Should have went with the stage 2. The 3 is very tight and feels less like the "sloppy" original

Used the holly sniper fuel tank and pump system with the GM style fuel filter that has a bypass to tank built into it already

Willwood parking brake feature is no good at all. I'd rather have kept the original drums in the back and bought a new front original style disc package for yo front. The fronts are loud now with this Wilwood system.

Bates,

I am in the middle of my hemi swap. With the a41, does it feel positive working as a slapstick? I am not certain mine does. Also, did you have to grind out the bearing on the crank for the a41?
I have a 6.1, powered by a Holley HP, Dana build going on.

Thanks!

Jason

Man I love it when I hear more people doing these swaps.

Sweet build!
Sounds like you used the stock K member like I did.
Is you number 1 header pipe running really close the power steering box, too? I also had to dimple it to clear the AC compressor housing.
You had to clearance the tunnel to fit the A41 tans? I was considering it.
Thanks

Headers not on yet.using ttis. Stock k. Welding it up. Box is out on its way to Washington to firm feel.

Seems you need to bend the pinch weld in the front of the tunnel at the 10 and 2

A41 is on the ground under the tunnel, on a dolly, not lifted up yet.

Very cool. These new motors are so impressive. You have an 11 sec street car that you can drive anywhere, awesome!

Not yet I don’t. I have been slow rolling this project forever! With working abroad, it is very slow going. Can’t wait to get it together. Trying to do it right, but some things go slow. Turn around time for my steering box, waiting for my Dana to be delivered etc.

Really would like to learn more about this swap. My son's 72 Cuda is on the rotisserie now. Welded in frame ties and torque boxes. So now is the time for a gen3 vs a 360 magnum. Sure could use a hand in understanding what it takes to do the swap and cost. please email me at par12730@sbcglobal.net thx Phil
