I am reevaluating my LF fender on my 69 charger and have decided although not rusted, it has too much body work from collisions years ago to use. I've looked around for a used one, and really have come to the conclusion that I should consider an AMD and am wondering how the quality is?

Should I continue to look for a used one, or has anyone here put a fender on and have it line up with a stock hood? do I need to change both fenders and the hood to make everything line up?

Input would be appreciated.

thanks

Duane

I've used the 69 front fenders, they were no more work than hanging a set of used original fenders, same could be said for the full rear qtrs from AMD from my experience with them, although your best to ask this question over at DodgeCharger.com for a wider range of opinions, some guys have had issues, other's like myself, zero issues, it'll depend on your skill set in aligning sheetmetal and working it in place, for some it's second nature, for others it's like they are all thumbs with no patience, you may find some minor issues with marker light openings, the front bumper pocket contour, but IMHO I'd rather solve those problems than deal with rot, distortion, dents, tears often found on used fenders, plus clean virgin sheetmetal is always a blessing to work with...

I did a 68 years ago that I honestly just scuffed the e coat then shot surfacer on them. Blocked them out and painted. No complaints here.

My problem with used sheet metal is u have no clue of its condition until u strip it down. I have used AMD, and dynocorn sheet metal some minor things needed to be fixed but nothing terrible to deal with.
