my 73 ignition switch crapped out. I bought a new one, but, the wiring in the plug is different from the old one. Anyone have some help for me?

Have you plugged it in to see if it is nothing more than a wire color change?

Not yet, as the colors are different, and not located the same. There is an empty space where the old one had a wire inserted.
