Did you not have a gasket on the block side before? You need to use two sets of gaskets with the motor plate, one in front and one behind.

I put 2 pairs on the block side with RTV and 1 pair on the water pump side
For some reason 1 pair did not work on block side.

I use no gasket at all. Just Ultra Grey RTV. No leaks in 6 years.
