Getting ready to run a few sets of header flanges for the SB Victor head. Anybody interested in a set?

That looks cool.

Can you make/do you have W5 flanges?
Is it possible to make a dual mounting flange?

SDPexhaust already makes a CNC W5 flange, I think.

If enough people wanted a cheaper flange, I can have them water jet cut. Same profile, but not chamfered and pretty like milling them.

So I tweaked the design slightly. I got the print from Edelbrock for the head, but turns out it's the print for the gasket. This is the same print that the Stainless Headers flange is made from. While the bolt hole and port locations are all correct, it uses a round port on the D shaped port. I've scanned the port and enlarged it by the wall thickness of the tube material (.070). Now the stub can be formed to the shape with an almost perfect transition to round. The port area is slightly smaller than 1-7/8" ID tubing, and slightly larger than 1-3/4" ID tubing in 16 gauge. I'm having some 304 SS flanges water jet cut this week. Will post them when I get them.

I'm calling these good for water jet. I can make more, but need a few sets to be worth while and all need to be the same, 3/8", 1/2", etc...

The ones pictured are 1/2" 304 SS for a turbo application. I'm machining a set, so will sell these when done using them for mockup.

So going to turn this into my header build!

The water jet left me a nice insert piece that is the correct port shape:

I decided to make a forming tool from it. I reduced the profile by about .050" to account for the tubing diameter, and rounded the edge where it will go into the tube. Sanded and polished the edge to keep it from grabbing, drilled a hole and added a handle:

I formed the tube with the tool, slid it into the flange, and formed it again:

Repeat 8 times...

Pretty happy with the transition:

Okay, lets lay out some headers!

Thanks.

I have played this out about 10 times now! Got to clear a 335" front tire at full lock, steering, A-arm, coil over, let me remove valve covers, access spark plugs,....and need it to come out between the firewall and tire to mate with the turbo, all with very long primaries... The "lego's" definitely earned there money.

Sorry, just saw this. The kits are available from Summit, Jegs, Trick-tools, etc. Summit and a coupon is your friend on these!

The Stef's pan is a dry sump I had them built. The 3 scavenges are on the P-side. That fitting on the drivers, in the pic, is the turbo oil drain. I had Stef's build it because they were the only ones putting piston oilers in the pan. Got it back, and no oilers. Said they don't do that anymore. Very pissed. Put the BLP jets in the block instead.

Thanks, and already changed the layout again! Couldn't fit the support bar for the coil overs with the previous setup (the piece of scrap in the pic showing location). So this is number 10 or something?!
