Just what do they designate? There's a ton of pages around the net that will explain E58 (360-4) or Y37 (sunroof conversion) or list the 100 or so other codes used but codes beginning in 'I' don't seem to be documented - even on the back on the build sheet.

see attached and the designation in the right margin is "CR'DT"

77 Cordoba

My hunch is somehow connected to Y37 which is "conversion center". Apparently the sheet is also stamped "send to ASC" because it's a t-top car.

Apparently?

Is it a sheet in your possession or one a seller or pal has?

Some of the newer broadcast sheets are printed on the backside with more information, so you could ask the guy that has it if this one is. (if it is not in your hands)

Not in my hands but the person that took the picture of the front of the sheet, took a pic of the back - no section explaining any "I" codes. I dug out a few of my old build sheets and don't see and "I" code definitions on the back of them either.

Any guesses what the "CR'DT" designation could stand for?

carrier destination?
conversion depot?

CR'DT = CREDIT shruggy

perhaps a credit OPTION or accessory that becomes redundant/not valid with the T-top installation

have you decoded the entire sheet - would this make sense?

He didn’t post the associated window sticker here so you could see the various packages.
Apparently, he didn’t like the same answer from me on another board.

I think I'd abbreviate CREDIT as CRED but I don't build cars from scratch. Interesting thought but I can't think of anything that would have to come off the car to add the t-top - over head console, dome light, vinyl top, that kind of thing. Its a 77 Cordoba with the Crown roof.

Not my car, not my sheet, dunno if the window sticker exists and don't know what that has to do with figuring out a group of build codes that doesn't seem to be commonly referenced. As for some post somewhere else, it wasn't me. I got asked this question on another site and thought I'd ask here.

I spent most of the day surfing and the closest I came is this:

http://www.genocide2600.com/~traviso/mml/bodydecode.html

It says a single "I" on 68-74 fender tags means built for export. I couldn't find any thread anywhere that talks about them in the context pictured above and fwiw: seems like 77 is when the layout of the build sheet changed.
