Here are a few pics of a 71 R/T Challenger that I picked up about 6 mounths ago and sold to a buddy of mine.......

He has done this car in his spare time in only about 6 months.....it started as a very solid car that needed some body work, paint, stripes, seats redone, new vinyl top, etc, etc.....The undercarriage was/is very solid.....

Does not have original motor but it had been replaced with a very sound and fresh 440 that will just be looked at, detailed and ran....

My buddy will have a little over $10K when it is done and it will be a very nice driver

We found the car for a steal and he is doing all the work himself, no outside labor, just materials. Interior only needed front seats re-covered and carpet, the rest was very nice.

Not much will/was done to the undercarriage, just cleaned up really good and a little undercoating. Drivetrain was basically all intact down to newer exhaust....need new tips....

I really like the car and almost wish I did not sell it to him........I believe it is 1 of about only 375 1971 340-4spds.......unfortunately, the motor is no where to be found

He had two weeks off from his normal job and worked 15hrs/day on it......besides that, it is alot of nights and weekends.....even though it will be done in a total of 6 months, he will have hundreds of hours in on it......

I think it looks cool as [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean]...I'm jealous

I will try to post more pics as he gets it together. Goal is to have it done by end of April

Car looks beautiful but I'm a little biased
I'll be happy to bring one of our 71 R/T's over so he can finish it.

I think he does really nice work for doing it all himself. The only thing he did not do is spray it ...although he wet sanded and polished it for two days straight

He really is attentive to detail for a DIY'er...

Here is a pic of the spoiler he just got on...
