My starter is trapped by header tubes. Im sure this is not uncommon. I want to have a longish pigtail on the starter so i can bolt the starter in place with the wires already connected rather than trying to thread them on the lugs in that mess. Then simply plugging the pigtail in to the rest of the harness after the starter is installed..Not being a wiring guy, what is a good reliable setup or hardware to use for this? Pics would be great.

I like a remote post on the lt apron or firewall area. Back in its Ed Hamburger days, my Duster got a plug installed for the small starter wires, and a post on the firewall near the master cylinder.

I use a Ford solenoid so the two posts get tied together. I used a thick piece of copper to tie the posts and then a pressed in stud for the cable attach. I can bolt all of this to the starter and slide it in pre-assembled.
