I put SS springs on my 65 Dart street car, and finally got it scaled. I was surprised to see the hi bias, left front/ right rear.
Lf 911 rf 832
Lr 646 rr 726
The car is level at these weights, no driver.
My question is, how much bias can be in the corner weights and still produce decent street manners?
I can remove most, but the passenger side of the car sits over an inch higher than the drivers side, and that is before i put my 265 in the seat!

You should scale it with you in the car unless you are remote driving it. You may be surprised at how much of your weight goes to rear of car depending on seat location (which I suspect is a ways from the steering wheel).

Handling guys running SS springs often run two the same (eg two rights). You could do the same... if you like the way it drives with SS springs.

I am running XHD + 1 full leaf on a Challenger. This is a less extreme bias design. Also 1" T bars up front. This works well and no extreme L/R height difference.

I mainly want good weight transfer for traction, and very stable steering when cruising.

I've run a couple of cars with SS springs on the street - an early B-body and an A-body, and both rode & drove like normal Mopars.
As for the R/R being high, cranking up the L/F torsion bar a bit evens that out.
Driver weight should be in the seat, 1/2 tank fuel, as you're looking for as-driven conditions.

Greg.. take the car to a good spring shop and
have them lower the rear and keep it level..
you want to be there because you will be getting
in and out of the seat.. how far does it need
to be lowered to be just lower than the front..
take measurement so you get it right.. I did
this on my 69 Valiant.. I ended up lowering the
front end by 1/2" to get what I wanted

I run the 3400 lb SS springs on my 63. I had to do the same thing Topside did as on most cars I put SS springs on they usually sit a bit un-level and I have to either raise or lower the torsion bars to even the car out. I had to do it on my 63. I have never scaled the car but it goes nice and straight at the track and drives just fine on the street. The only thing I notice is the car lifts the left front more then the right front on launch but it goes nice and straight. Ron

Mike, ride height in back is pretty much where it has to be for tire clearance at this point. If I do anything with the back, it may need one step down in SS spring weight. Then I can see if I want to mess with the back more.
