I have seen the white ones all over, but is anyone reproducing the black 1970 bucket seat bump stops?

It has been over a month, does anyone know?

A month now has 20 days??

It sure feels like it has been over a month.

My 1970 Challenger R/T SE had white stops from day 1.

A lot of A, B & E body buckets came with white.

But some also came with black.

I thought someone had repoped them, but I can only find white ones on ebay.

I have only seen white on my 70 cars

This one is from a 1970 Challenger SE from Hamtramck with a scheduled production date in October, 1969.

In my September 1969 St. Louis built 1970 Sport Satellite 4-door;

Odd.

I just checked two Hamtramck Hemi Challengers - one 9/69 and one 11/69 - both white

The different versions could be due to different suppliers, early vs. late, etc., etc.

The other side is damaged as well, so regardless of color, the originals do get brittle over the decades & I am hoping to find black.

Yes I found all my white ones crumbling away.

I can check my seat stash on Monday but you might need to ping me with a reminder.

Monday I can ask the company that makes the white ones if they can do a run in black.

That would be wonderful!

Since the tooling already exists hopefully a color change is easy too.

Hmm. My seats didn’t have these therefore I didn’t know they even existed. I thought I had everything covered.

Would these apply to an AAR as well?

Buy some round plastic bar stock & have some turned on a lathe.

I just became aware of the black ones in November of last year & just saw my second set before posting this thread.

I do not know how long the black ones were in use, but I did not know to look until recently.

Before that I had only seen the white / opaque versions.

Ok so there were white and some black but my concern is that I had neither. Where they notorious for coming off and being chunked?

Where can a white set be sourced?

Hopefully DMT can shed some insight.
