A guy showed me a ball/ball 5/16 pushrod & on one end for ~ an inch or so it necked down even thinner than the normal 5/16 & even the ball was smaller (I didn't see the lifter cup). the guy said it was from a 74 ish 318 that had 360 heads. I replied that I had never seen a Mopar pushrod like that. I dont have a pic but what do you guys think? Thank you for your time.

Pre 67 big blocks had a " bottle neck" pushrod. Factory put a smaller radius on the lifter end for some reason.

Mopar use to use 1/4 inch lifter cups prior to 1967 in all of thier early V8 motors shruggy scope

'68 was the changeover year, '67 still had the small ball on the lifter end.

Oh OK so it is an OE piece. I thought it was strange, looking at the tip that narrowed down like it did. & now that I think about it I have seen lifters that had the small(er) cups obviously for that app/pushrods but I had never seen the pushrods themselves that go with em. thanks guys.
