Hello, looking to swap a Hellcat crate engine into a 69 B-body.. What are my options if we want to use an automatic transmission? Does someone sell a kit?

Dave,

The 727 is the easiest, if you want overdrive without worry of blowing the thing up I would say 4l80E.

As far as the Mopar Nag-1 and 8 speed transmissions, They are much more work.

I believe hotwire sells a Nag controller but you still have to put sensors, tone rings, etc on the driveline. Way to much hassle in my opinion.

The Hellcat plug and play kit is for the engine only, it will not control a transmission.

Hope this helps

Thank you.. A 727 will bolt right up? Converter/flexplate?

Small block 727 will and you need a conversion flexplate or you can have the converter modified. If your not against cutting some, you can go with a 518 with od... but needs the t-bar crossmember modified and a little tunnel work.

Dave,

A small block 727 will bolt right up but you do need a special flexplate that Mopar performance sells. I believe there are other aftermarket choices as well.

Also, you have a pm on another matter. Thanks!
