I'm ready to get rid of my dumps (they were cheap and easy at the time) and add some dual tailpipes. I've found the few options, but curious what you guys on here are using. Seems each has one guy saying they fit great on a 66/67 and one saying they aren't made for 66/67.

My car is a mild 318 auto with manifolds and custom muffler shop pipes back to dual Flowmasters and dumps. Not my first choice for mufflers, but they were new and free and I like the sound and deal with the drone for now.

Room looks tight beside the tank, especially on the passenger side. Can you guys post pix and tell me what you have, please?

I've looked at Flowmaster, TTI and Accurate. I'm not concerned with originality, a couple hp difference. I want something that fits and looks nice. I'm also considering custom pipes from a local shop, but haven't talked to anyone yet. I've had the current setup for about 11 years.

Thanks...

I've a'67 w/ 440. Running 3" pipe to axles, Flowmasters, then 2 1/2" out to back using factory locations. Have had this set-up for same length of time as yours. Had a muffler shop do the work for $300 which included price of mufflers. Muffler shop did a nice job; took about an hour and some change to do the job. Still holding together.

Thanks. Having a shop do it is probably my best bet. Do you have any pix of your setup and how close they are to the tank?

No pics. If memory serves me correctly, there is ample space between the tail pipes & tank. I'll take a look for you & report back.

Got under back of car. There's about 1 1/2" space between tailpipes and gas tank.

Thanks. I'm going to start looking for a good local shop. Just don't feel like messing with prebent that may or may not fit.
