What do you think?

You think any slop in the steering linkage will result in play at the wheel?

What happened?

You tell us. Is it 150k miles old and wore out or new out of the box and defective?

Don't be the exception.

Hmm. How did you remove the tie rod end of the pitman arm when you changed the steering box?

I would say that the ball joint on that pitman arm is trashed. I would expect to see a lot of backlash in the steering wheel. Why did it go out? Probably related to how it was handled during the steering box replacement.
