I am trying to get some hardware on hand before tearing into my 360.

Seeking bolt sizes [and qty] for the water pump, timing cover, valve covers, intake, exhaust manifolds, and any other applicable "external" fasteners.


Anyone have that info around that they could share?

Does the ARP kit list the sizes? Might want to look there?

AMK Products sells a complete engine fastener kit with all the bolts you need, I also have seen individual kits on eBay for individual components like water pump bolt kits.

hey goody, I have a bolt bin with lots of stock engine bolts and smaller stock bolts if you want to replace with OEM bolts correct length.

lots of different length wp bolts depending on what accessory & yr

pulleys/damper/mounts/pan/alt/intake/valve cover/exhaust manifolds/ps pump & brackets/TC/flex plate/prop shaft bolts & straps ect..

need a 360 flywheel or any trans bolts? oil pans t-covers?

I can measure all the wp bolts I have for lengths. this is how I swap engines around and scratch up correct bolts going from a/c to non a/c or /6 to v8

Thanks for the offer, I have all the hardware, it's just in the engine currently. I will likely go ahead and just pull it, measure it and get new instead of trying to have new on-hand already.

There is one bolt for the water pump on the left side that can't be too long or it can bottom out on number 1 outer cylinder wall and possibly push it in

FYI block front pump/tcover bolt holes: Dr side top to bottom: (1) dry (2) wet (3) wet & #1 cyl wall is only 5/8" in from the block face (4) dry. Pass side top to bottom: (1) wet into valley (oil) (2) wet (coolant) (3) wet (coolant) (4) dry. Cam plate holes: (1) lower two are into crank area (2) dr top is blind (3) pass top into valley (oil) & that is the hole you want the OE bolt with the 1/8" hole in it for a drip or drill your own bolt. Others will clarify but iirc you want 1&1/4 times (1&1/2 times?) the bolt dia, that amt of thread engagement into the female block threads.
