folks i am new here, and am trying to lower the front end of an 84 d150 2 wheel drive using 94 dakota drop spindles. i can't seem to find out if i have to use dakota rotors, wheel bearings, calipers, pads and hoses? the dakota rotors are 6 lug,and i want to keep the stock 5 lug pattern, has anyone on here done this before?

I dropped the front of my truck 3 inches by using mid 80's van lower control arms. My spindles rotors and brake set-up remained the same.

It didn't change geometry at all. It just allows the spring to sit lower in the control arm. I replaced the control arms and had it aligned.

The Dakota dropped spindles WILL change your geometry. The cast-in steering arms are shorter than stock Dakota...which are shorter than the stock ones on your Ram.
There are a couple threads in the truck section that dive into all the ins and outs of what you want to do. Set aside plenty of time for reading though. smile

It's not perfect.
It's not correct.
It's not yours!
