Hey guys - I have a March pulley kit for my BB and the bolt heads (that secure the water pump to the pump housing) are too big. The inside rim of the pulley is making contact with the bolt heads. The water pump is 440 source I think, if that matters. I seem to recall there are water pump bolt kits with short heads to solve this problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to buy them? I called March and they thought I was nuts. Thanks in advance!

I believe what is needed are button heads.
Google '5/16-18 button head bolt' and some images should come up.

Yeah, I've used button head/ carriage bolts with an Allen socket to clear those pulleys.

Menards stock stainless button head bolt.

I just changed my 440 source water pump to hv mildon, and helped low rpm cooling.

Had same problem with March pulley.
I sanded the bolt heads down with a belt sander.
Heads ended up being about 1/8th inch tall. Just
enough to get 6 point wrench on.

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....
