I couldn't help myself. I swore I'd never do it...but I take back every horrible thing I've ever said about 'em.

So he can't express his opinion? If you are going to post up your newest piece of plastic on a Mopar forum you should expect some criticism.

What? Moparts is about Mopars. It's not about mopeds, bicycles, dump trucks or egg timers. It wasn't meant to be all inclusive. I don't go to the diesel truck forum and talk about my Accent. If I went and posted pics of my new Hell Cat on the Corvette forum I would expect some criticism, wouldn't you?

The last plastic car I had was left broken in the sand box. I think I was 8.

But...for the sake of this conversation, I do happen to know of a C1 that is going to together with a turbo HEMI...just for laughs.

6 speed or auto? Assuming 6 speed...

My uncle had a late C3 with t-tops, then C5 and C6 convertibles. I drove the C5 and C6's, liked them both. The convertible C5 prices in particular are cheap enough now that it makes sense to pick one up for a decent cruiser. They really do ride and handle exceptionally well and get decent fuel economy, too. Interior is dated but that applies to anything from that era.

Its a blast...quick enough for me and handles like a gokart.

Plenty of twisty rural roads around my work so I have lots of opportunities for fun.

Its a 6-speed...and yeah, the C5 was the first year of the rear transaxle, so the weight distribution is a perfect 50-50 and that really does make a difference in the way the car handles...even in normal driving...and that LS1 us a beast. It pulls like a freight train all rhe way to redline.

And yeah...the interior can definitely use improvement. You can really tell that's where they compromised to get the car to its price point.

I have a C5 Convertible I bought as a DD a few years ago. Great cars, nice handling and excellent gas mileage for the power. I found a 19K mike original that A guy was selling so he could make room for his new C7. My Neon ACR was dying and I needed a new driver.
