I have been busy trying to stay on top of stuff. As some realize that this is a job! The reason for the OSB box is we were actually having units getting broken in shipping because there was nothing to absorb the impact of the ridiculous handling of the shippers. That’s the reason and the only reason. We have shipped well over a thousand A833 units in OSB crates and I have had 2 broken. I’ll take those odds.

ALSO, we ran two runs of dual mount 70 up B/E tails and had core shift both times. That is why there is a delay on those units. We expect more tails late April

Yes, and I was one of those lucky 2! Luckily we were able to get UPS to reimburse Jamie, and I have only the highest praise for how he handled it for me!

I had him rebuild mine. I was having issues I couldn't track down, finally got tired of it, and had him fix it.

Great! I broke a few teeth off of second gear on the cluster gear, reverse had some pretty bad teeth, but the issue I couldn't solve was the input shaft that went into the pilot bearing was not in great shape. Looked good at eye level, so never checked it. He found that and fixed it, and it has been great ever since.

Except when it arrived with the input shaft hanging out of the front of the packing case! They slammed that thing around so hard it broke the snap ring boss out of the the tail shaft, so he had to put a whole new one on. They brutalize packages sometimes...

Has anyone got one in the last month or so that they care to brag about?

I remember Jamie saying more E body units would be ready by late April, early May...I wonder what happened.

I spoke with Jamie last week. I was just getting my name in front of him again without being too much of a pain in the azz. He said the duel mount trans are going slowly. I didn't press him for any time commitments.

Note: I have a '71 bucket seat RR, so I need the same trans tailshaft as the E-bodies.

Any news? Has anybody received an A855 recently?

Last communication I had was in May. There was another hiccup with parts supply chain. Jamie was unsure when it would be resolved. I'm still patiently waiting. The keisler in my charger leaves a lot to be desired.

Do you know if the parts supply problem is for all models or just E/Bs? How many folks have waited five years and not received a transmission yet?

I'm waiting for B/E trans. Not sure if the A-body transmissions are rolling out.
Not aware of any other manual transmission that will work as well as the 855. Not interested in cutting up another car to fit a substandard trans. To each their own. I'm willing to wait.

It's been six years for me. Still a-waiting..... I just wish Jamie could get a bit of luck and start rolling the things out the door.
