Mike,

We are talking about the stick on "Dodge" emblem that goes on the deck lid on a 71 Challenger. The emblem I believe was originally used on a 69 Dart. It has been superseded twice and the one that some people try to pass off is for a 1980 Aspen SE.

Sounds like you are talking about the 70 only Challenger side script which has three prongs. I have quite a few originals but I will have to check that out.

What about the two pin R/T emblem for the side 0 used on stripe delete and bumblebee stripe cars?

Chris

Chris,

I'm referring to this 3 pin DODGE emblem for the challenger 71 grille, if I recall it's the same size/font as the trunk emblem including the black out segment on the "E", just suggesting this could be substituted, either use the pins to attach or remove the pins and surgically cut a lettered 2 way tape for it

Mike,

I will have to look at it when I get home but I am doubtful. It looks, from the picture, that the E has a black area in it that I guess supports one of the pins. The rear emblem does not have this.

Chris

Yes - the correct emblem has the end of the G and E straight up and down

fmmpr - would run ads with 3811220 part number but they would picture a 2965502 - the old bait and switch

So I have my original DODGE trunk emblem for my 71 Challenger although the tape no longer sticks but is still there. Would it be better to use an X-acto knife and apply new double stick tape after removing the old tape or use some emblem adhesive to the old tape and glue it to the trunk lid?
Terry

Get some 3M double sided emblem tape and leave the original tape on it
