JonGottaDemonDad OP super stock Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 1,058 Escondido, California	I picked up a low mileage 5.9 24v cummins to put it into an old jeep. I picked up a dodge transmission to bolt onto it. When I tried to put it together the snout on the crank is like 3 inches long. When I google photos of the stock 5.9 24v it looks different than my engine. Any advice on how to correct this? I was thinking about cutting it off with a bandsaw.... It was bolted to an Allison transmission when I bought it. Craig

savoy64 top fuel S Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,042 colorado	i think that you have an adapter on the end of your crank that mates up the allison---dont let it fall off on your toe-----also on the 4bt site there are guys always looking for the high mount AC unit and the air compressor found on those bus motors---good score...

I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

Just as a side note, the converter registers into the flex plate and not the crankshaft.
