Does anyone know what size these bullet connectors are? I believe they are odd size, maybe .163? In general, I find them in dash/auxiliary lighting harnesses. I seem to be having trouble finding an exact match at hardware or auto parts stores. Looked on Waytek/Del City etc. but found nothing Chrysler specific. Thanks for any suggestions.

The bullet connectors included in the Painless kit are: male, .155 o.d.,
female, .150. i.d.

I've used them in a previous build with good results.
Where they source them, ???

Did you try McMaster-Carr??

Joe

Just looked at them under a magnifier, they have the initials K.S.

Thanks.

What I am trying to do is utilize the orange, 3 pin molded connector in the dash aux. light harness to plug in some gauge lights. I took the ashtray out and put a two hole gauge panel in its place, fits perfect and didn't have to drill any new holes. The ashtray laamp actually plugs into the 3 pin molded connector which is now empty.

So if I can find the correct size connector then I don't have to splice into the light harness, I can just run the gauge light feeds right to the existing connector.

I could cut the ashtray light wire to use the connector but I don't like cutting original stuff if I don't have to.

do you have a junk harness [any year, any model] you could harvest one from ? another trick i have used in the past is to apply solder to your aftermarket bullet to increase it's size, then file, sand to diameter you need. it doesn't take much, then install the bullet on your wire and plug in.

I do have some junk harnesses around, guess I can look through them.

Also, good idea on the extra solder and file method, never thought of doing it that way, thanks.

Still, for future reference, I would like to know the correct size of these things.
