My number one towing problem is sway and the lateral compliance of the suspension system. My choice on shocks would tend to the larger piston diameters.

I have been really happy with Gabriel shocks. The one I'd pick is called Max Control, less than $50 each at Rockauto. It has a real truck-sized piston, 1.81" diameter Or, the Pro Guard at $22. (1 3/8 piston). This is like a stock heavy duty shock.

I have a 1995 2wd with the Edelbrock IAS shocks. They have been extremely durable but I am afraid they are not sold anymore.

Thaxs…. for the replies fellas ,i'm looking for something that won't increase the height, because I do park this truck in the garage and it barely fit now.

Those that have the Roadtrek and similar type Dodge RV's all rave about the stability gained by using the Bilsteins fwiw.

I loved the edelbrock shocks, but they went bye bye. Heard QAS or QA1 whatever bought them. Never saw that product from them though.

The Eddy’s on the rear have been on for a dozen years a 75k hard hard towing Miles. Still good. Fronts on that diesel died a few years ago and I went with bilsteins. Just towed this week and still doing great.

I want my fair share
