Hi. I need an explanation or instructions on how to remove the dash dimmer switch in a 1970 B-Body.

The easiest way is to pull your instrument cluster part of the way out.

Do you need a step by step on that?

The factory service manual is chock full of those kind of instructions.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

1. Disconnect the battery - very important
2. Remove the plastic cover under the steering column
3. Remove the steering column bracket and lower steering column down.
4. Remove the 5 screws that hold in the panel
5. Disconnect the speedo cable
6. Instrument panel can now move forward.

I would not take it all the way out. Just swing it down so that you can get to the back of the switch.

7. Disconnect wiring from switch
8. Remove switch with stubby screwdriver
9. Enjoy adult beverage

beer

Let me know how you do
