When rebuilding your engines (e.g. small block) what is the recommendation for reuse of the thrust plate, oil slinger, oil tab, etc...? Reuse of original (or locate an original, if not present) or reproduction?

Slinger and tab don't wear, clean and reuse no problem. Thrust plate might wear, inspect and if not worn clean and reuse.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Agree with supercuda. Those should all be no wear items. As long as the plate is flat across you should be good to go. Never seen a cam wear into one, my guess is there would have ro be serious other issues for it to do so.
